Kitting - Works Orders

Works orders for kit items can be created in three ways:

• automatically using the Trial Kitting program which calculates how many of each kit item can be assembled with the current levels of stock – see "Kitting - Trial Kitting"
• automatically using the Auto Kitting program which creates works orders for all kit items that have a quantity on backorder for customers – see "Kitting - Auto Kitting"
• manually using the procedures described in this topic.

Each time an assembly of a kit is performed by the Micronet Kitting System, an auditable works order is allocated and printed to verify the transfer of the raw materials to a finished kit item.

Kit raw materials are flagged by the Micronet Kitting System as committed for assembly. Once completed, the completed amount can be entered. At this point, the raw material items are taken up and the kit quantity on hand is increased.
